The Romance Turn VI will be hosted by the Universitat de les Illes Balears and will take place in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). It aims to gather people working on the acquisition of Romance languages from a generative perspective.Invited Speakers:

Abstracts are invited for oral and poster presentations in the area of the acquisition of Romance languages. All topics in the fields of (typical and impaired) first, second, L3/Ln and bi/multilingual language acquisition from a generative perspective will be considered. Please note that oral presentations will be 20 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes for discussion. The maximum size for posters will be A0. The language of the conference will be English.Submission of abstracts:
Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts in any of the topics listed above. Authors are requested to send an abstract in English with a 300-word limit (data and references not included) for double blind-refereeing review. Abstracts should be submitted electronically via the web-based submission system at: http://www.uibcongres.org/romanceturn. They must be anonymous. Authors may submit up to two abstracts, one individual and one joint (or two joint). Please also indicate whether you would like your abstract to be considered for oral or poster presentation, or both.

Publications:
All authors who present their work at the conference will be invited to submit their paper for an edited volume of selected contributions to be published by de Gruyter.

Registration Fees:
Early-bird registration -– Before Up to May 15, 2014:
Faculty: 140€
Students: 100€

Late-registration – After May 15, 2014:
Faculty: 170€
Students:130€

The fee includes attendance to all the sessions of the conference, certificate of presentation (for speakers), certificate of attendance (for non-speakers and speakers), conference documentation, coffee breaks and reception on 18 September 2014.
