As part of our commitment to supporting early career researchers, the International Association for the Study of Spanish in Society is pleased to announce funding of £400 to support a one-day research seminar or workshop on a topic related to the study of Spanish linguistics (sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, discourse analysis and related areas). The grant is intended to be used towards the costs of bookings, insurance, catering, invited speakers, and support for postgraduate students, for example.
The competition is open to all PGR and ECR members of the Association (for membership information, please visit https://www.spanishinsociety.com/membership). We particularly encourage applications that can demonstrate match-funding or other relevant support from the host institution.
Applicants can find the form at the following link: https://www.spanishinsociety.com/events. Please then send the form to spanishinsocietysis@gmail.com by 1 March 2020. All proposals will be evaluated by the Executive Committee and the results will be announced by 9 March 2020.
